Jennifer Broome – Doctorate Degree in English Education, and Bachelor’s Degree in English Education, History, and Women’s/Gender Studies
Dr. Broome received her Doctorate Degree from New York University. She has a Master of Education Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Katherine Buchholz – Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in English
Ms. Buchholz has more than ten years of teaching experience, including public and charter, middle, high school and community college. She has taught in Eastern North Carolina, Washington, D.C., and London, England. She loves going to the movies, sewing, yoga, and reading a variety of literature.
Ashley Dial – Master’s Degree in English
Ashley was born and raised in Lakewood, Colorado, right outside of Denver. She moved to Colorado Springs and attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She continued on to the local community college to work on her sign language skills and received an Associate’s Degree in Basic American Sign Language. After getting married and moving to Texas, Ashley received her Master’s Degree in Humanities with a concentration in English. She has taught English at the community college and university level for the past four years. She has no children yet, but is happily married and now living in Sanford, North Carolina. She and her husband have two boxers who keep them very busy!
Erin Meachum-Master’s Degree in English with a Concentration in Rhetoric and Composition
Ms. Meachum holds a Master of Arts degree from North Carolina State University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in English and Comparative Literature. A native of Charlotte, NC, she currently lives in a house divided in Raleigh, NC. Her extracurricular interests include beach volleyball, travelling, running, and yoga.
Brianna Manning – Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education
Ms. Manning has over ten years of experience as a math teacher. She received her Master of Science Degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Aimee Smalley – Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics
Aimee Smalley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Math from UNC-Wilmington. She and her husband moved to Hampstead, NC where they lived for 17 years. They have 4 children; 21 year old fraternal twin girls, an 18 year old son and another daughter age 14. Seven years ago the family moved to Garner, NC allowing her husband to accept a job in Raleigh. Aimee stayed at home with her children until they moved to Garner, where she began working at WTCC as a math instructor in the pre-curriculum department. She has taught Basic math through Trigonometry in helping prepare students to move on to curriculum level math courses. While still a student, Aimee taught SAT math and tutored in Algebra, Trig and Geometry. In her free time she enjoys reading and has worn out 2 Kindles while indulging in her favorite past-time.
Math and Science Instructor
Frances McNeill-Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Science
Ms. McNeill received her Bachelor’s Degree from North Carolina Central University and has completed 30 hours towards her Master’s Degree in School Administration at Campbell University. She is married and has three children all in college; one is in graduate studies at NC A&T, the other two are in undergraduate studies at NC State and UNC-Greensboro respectively. Ms. McNeill resides in Angier NC with her husband where she has served in various roles of education ranging from teacher to private consultant for over 19 years. In her spare time Ms. McNeill enjoys trivia games and reading.
Marla F McLeod-Master degree in Education, Bachelors degree in Secondary Science Education (Earth/Environmental concentration)
Mrs. McLeod received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Science Education from East Carolina University and her master’s degree in Education from Southern Wesleyan University. She has taught high school science and middle grade science for the last 13 years. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, son and two dogs.
